Rescuing Leftover Cuisine provides a platform for volunteers to recover excess food from businesses and transport it to nearby human service agencies that serve those in need. 1 in 10 Massachusetts households experiences some level of food insecurity, meaning they are without reliable access to enough affordable, nutritious food. Yet 40% of food is wasted in the US. Individuals and small groups pick up leftover food at restaurants & food businesses and deliver it to agencies that make it available to people who need it.
